The Challenge
ShareSquare envisioned a new paradigm in education - a platform where learning is social, gamified, and peer-monetized. Students teach each other, earn rewards, build libraries of knowledge, and transact through a student wallet. The technical challenge was immense: real-time social feeds, gamification engines, content libraries, peer-to-peer payments, and a mobile-first experience that feels as engaging as Instagram but delivers educational outcomes.

Our Approach
We treated ShareSquare as a deep-tech product build - not a simple app. The architecture needed to handle social media-scale interactions (feeds, reactions, comments, shares) while layering in learning-specific features (libraries, assessments, progress tracking) and fintech capabilities (student wallet, peer payments). We built a modular microservices backend that could scale each feature independently, with a React Native mobile app and Next.js web app sharing a common design system.
